While volunteering with Baby Blues Connection I watched women suffering from perinatal mood disorders. These women were abandoned by their primary caregiver while unexpected issues were missing from any conversations. When things would arise that they didn’t know how to deal with or who to reach out to, their condition would decline rapidly making family rifts while losing valuable bonding time.
While interviewing these phenomenal practitioners I have learned so much about wellness and am so excited for you to be exposed to these passionate professionals dedicated to postpartum health.
Womb Pdx supports:
Our mission is to create an exceptional generation of professional doulas,
particularly BIPOC doulas, who can enter the workforce with sustainable
careers, improve maternal and infant health outcomes, and meet the everchanging needs of birthing and postpartum people.
Community Doula Alliance
Our primary focus is to provide support for survivors of
domestic violence to promote empowerment and change.
Statistics show that survivors are less likely to return to a violent
partner or repeat a domestic violence situation when they
participate in regular physical activity. Yoga promotes healing of
the body and mind, while providing a sense of power, strength
and well being.
